The Day Before the Flight

Hello all, I am not used to using blogs but whatever. Let's start this.
Around mid to late February, I got accepted to participate in HIF (Hokkaido International Foundation)'s Japanese Language and Japanese Culture Program in Hokkaido Japan. Even though I will spend the majority of my time in and around Hakodate, this will be a very worthwhile experience for me. I am happy to do this to the point that I cannot explain it in words and can only express in emotion that I probably will not feel until I land in Tokyo. Even though I will say more about logistics and such in the next post because it is a bit late and I leave to the airport in the early hours of the morning, I will add some here. I will leave tomorrow from Atlanta and then arrive at Los Angeles. After a 46 minute wait, I will board the plane that will take me to Narita International Airport in Tokyo. Afterwards, I am scheduled to stay at the Grand Pacific Le Daiba hotel for a day and with my group (others who will also stay at the same hotel with me), head out to Haneda Airport and then arrive in Hakodate in Hokkaido. So, that is the plan for the next two days. Because of the distance from Atlanta to Tokyo and compounded with the connecting flight time (same airline so it will be easier for me since this is the first time I am both leaving my country and leaving my time zone), I will arrive in Tokyo a day later. So for now until my post, all I can say is that I cannot wait (I definitely can) to experience jet-lag for the first time. Yay.....
